Below are some pictures of my current toy, a 1979 Triumph Spitfire. I have owned this car
since February 1998.
I am also a member of the Detroit Triumph Sportscar Club (see link below).
I have decided the Spit should be called 'Jane', Although I love Triumphs, (My Father used to work for Triumph - mainly building the Dolomite at their factory in Speke, Liverpool), the first car my family owned was an Austin. (A 1977 Allegro called Uriah (after Uriah Heap - I don't know much about the music of Uriah Heap, but the car really was a heap when we bought it)) So in keeping with my tradition of finding a last name for a car, then trying to come up with a first name, I have decided to call the Spit - Jane, after Jane Austin.
